Swiss-born Deetron, AKA Sam Geiser, despite being brought up with a jazz musician for a father, found his early musical leanings tended more towards hip-hop. He quickly developed a big reputation as an immensely talented 3-deck turntablist, blurring the boundaries between different genres and slowly delving into the realms of house and techno. He ultimately secured himself a residency at the infamous Zurich club, Trax. It was only a matter of time before he turned his attention to production, with releases on Phont Music and In-Tec Records in the 90‘s that grabbed the attention of pioneers such as Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills. His partnership with Belgian label, Music Man, is the one that has proved most fruitful over the years and those releases, alongside his many acclaimed remixes, have ensured he is always in the public eye. His Balance 020 CD in 2012 cemented his status as one of the scene’s most respected DJs, and his subsequent Radio 1 Essential Mix and high positioning in RA’s Top DJs poll have continued his inexorable rise. Following on from a momentous Leeds debut at Flux’s 1st Birthday a year ago, we look forward to welcoming him back on the 23rd.

Ralph Lawson has played a pioneering role in electronic underground dance music for the past two decades.. He currently holds residencies at Back To Basics Leeds, We Love Space Ibiza and Barcelona’s The Loft as well as making regular appearances at Berlin’s Watergate and London’s Fabric. his 2020 Vision Recordings have created a vibrant trail of releases, making it one of the best-loved and most respected imprints in the industry. Ralphs Lawson’s authentic take on house music has always had the energetic qualities found in techno yet is never far away from the funk of House music mixed with warm analogue synths and live drums. This unique brew is presented in legendary long sets by technical skills with a cutting-edge sound that manages to hypnotically demand everybody’s attention. Always forward thinking, Ralph doesn’t close himself off to anything, he looks around and somehow manages to unify his influences into a cohesive set. He continually brings a European sensibility to the American roots of house music.
