Psyk, aka Manuel Anós, is firmly pegged in the techno scene. He doesn’t seem to deviate from his trajectory, justifying his precocious artistic ascension (signed his first release with MINUS, at the age of 19). Originally from Madrid, he was influenced by Plastikman ́s musical melancholy and Jeff Mills boiling techno. Where many artists would have been disoriented, contented by weak ambitions, he has been refining his art, submerged passionately in underground clubs.
His worldwide sets in clubs like TRESOR, BERGHAIN, RÖHSTOFLAGGER, FABRIK and so on, have been crystallizing his talent as a DJ. His sets are filled with hypnotic rhythms thanks to fusions combining the deepest, purest, and rawest techno. With strong influences of house and minimal, he has been touted by his peers as one of the most talented DJs in recent years known for his special care in planning and progression of these sets.
Like a conscientious artisan, Psyk deals carefully with his compositions adding somber power with a subtle touch, a constant guarantee of his quality. No wonder we see him offering his talent under the patronage of emblems like LUKE SLATER, LEN FAKI, ADAM BEYER or making DUSTIN ZAHN ́s label more dynamic. When he isn’t involved in his own label “NON SERIES”, Psyk concentrates all his efforts to faithfully agitating ideas of his mind.
