As Blawan has moved in to the harder and deeper end of techno, BEN UFO has consistently held his place at the forefront of the ‘uk bass’ scene, using his eclectic selection and revered mixing skills to showcase some of the UK, and world’s, best new electronic music.
This month Ben celebrates the launch of his inaugural FabricLive mix (http://www.fabriclondon.com/store/catalog/product/view/id/438) . Resident Advisor said of the mix, “The UFO sound is far more Brixton than Berghain, with non-stop sensory assault of subby, slithering garage basslines, snatched R&B vocals, grimy electronics, juddering rave-continuum riffs, and beats that are forever busting with fresh counterpoints and bumpy fills.”
Due to the enforced posptonement of Four Tet’s performance ( http://www.facebook.com/events/315999571839637/?ref=ts&fref=ts ) we had a tough decision as to what to do with the abruptly free date on the 31st January. After long discussions we decided to find an adequate guest to fill the gap left behind, and we are immensely happy to have been able to bring BEN UFO up to Liverpool one more time.
Ben will be performing a unique extended 3 hour set in The Hold, something that we hope will remain in the memory for a long time. Constantly switching vibe and genre, we cannot wait to see how this set goes.
