An evening with Patrice Scott (Sistrum)
Our next guest is one of Detroit’s finest producers and head honcho of our favourite Sistrum Recordings (also home for various artists and remixers such as XDB, Specter, Johannes Volk and Anton Zap).
“…Scott has been playing records for much longer than he has been making them, and in the early days played various Detroit venues along with luminaries such as Jeff Mills and Ken Collier. Being such an avid dj and record collector inevitably led him to the next step – production. rather than racing to secure a load of gear, though, initially Patrice is said to have done his first remixes using just two cassette recorders, a drum machine and turntables. they never got properly released, but certainly set him on the path down which he still continues today”.

What is HBW?
The creative team behind one of London’s most prestigious Sunday parties ‘Half Baked’ present HBW, a combined discussion/workshop, curated through the eyes of artists we’ve been worshiping or following for years.
Our aim is to share and discuss ideas about music, technology, culture, to spread creativity, music knowledge, analogue systems, new technology and all sorts of different topics.
The opportunity to interact with the artists with Q & As at the end of each session is given to our audience.
Each HBW session will be different. We will not be having any boundaries in music genres, you know our taste is very eclectic anyway.
