Hot off the heels of our ‘3rdBirthday’, Saturday 23rd of August will see us undertake our ’14 Hour Summer Session’ over in east London at ‘iCAN Studios’.
Petre Inspirescu of [a:rpia:r] will join us for an extended set of 3hrs. Pedro is an artist we’ve admired for years & it’s an honour to have him in our booth. As if you didn’t know, Pedro hails from Romania & is 1/3 of RPR Soundsystem. Pedro’s last visit to the UK was with us as we hosted our sister party HOME – London at Studio338 back on June 28th. People are still talking about that party to this day & we’re sure that pedro will be bringing some of that magic to Art of Dark on the 23rd of August ;-)
Making the trip over from Amsterdam to provide us with a 2hr live set will be Ion Ludwig. Ion Ludwig’s music features heavily on our dance floor, it was inevitable that one day we’d invite Ion Ludwig to perform his live with us at AOD.
Party co-founder & resident DJ Colin Chiddle. will also spend an extended 3hrs in the booth for this ’14hr Summer Session’, Colin is fresh off the back of playing at this years Eastern Electrics, where he played alongside Dyed Soundorom, Sonja Moonear + many more!
Extended sets are the flavour of this session, Damaged’s Matteo Manzini will also be spinning an extended set of 3hrs as he makes his Saturday night AOD debut. Matteo joined us in the booth at our Sunday morning afters for our ‘Spring Session’ back in April. Matteo played a great set B2B with Isherwood & also some time solo, we thought it was the perfect time to invite Matteo to join us at AOD.
Kicking off the party will be Charlie Dave Kent. Charlie has had a great year so far, with a room 1 gig at fabriclondon for WetYourSelf already under his belt & 1 more confirmed for later this year in September.
