KURV helps you kick off your August bank holiday weekend in style with what might be our biggest line-up to date.
Topping the bill is Detroit born Berlin based producer Jimmy Edgar. Signing with the legendary Warp Records at just 18 years old, he’s gone on to carve out a niche for himself as a purveyor of the sleaziest Electro-Funk this side of Prince, with a raft of dancefloor slaying singles and acclaimed LP’s. Now part of the mighty Hotflush family, Jimmy continues to rock clubs around the globe-whether its solo or part of the duo JETS alongside close friend Machinedrum. Prepare for things to get real sexy when he takes over on the wheels of steel.
Joining Jimmy we have former In New DJ’s We Trust selector Mosca. Starting off by dipping his toes in everything from neon flecked Bass hybrids to Speed Garage, Mosca is now focused on pushing only the darkest and most sensual of Techno. Now running his own label, not so much, Mosca is set to dominate the underground for years to come.
With his label’s unamed vinyl releases consistently selling out in record time, Workshop boss Lowtec has quietly become one of the most respected figures in the underground. A master of restraint, his productions have achieved near legendary status thanks to their hazy grooves. He’s joined by label mate Kassem Mosse-who plays live. Fresh from shaking up a fuss with his high acclaimed recent debut LP, he promises to deliver a live show that will expand the mind and move the feet.
